A Reality Classroom Adventure!

Amaryllis Fox (Entrepreneur/The Katie Couric Show) – Came to the school to conduct a career day event and gave us an interview.

Ann Curry (NBC Anchorwoman) – Allowed students to come to the NBC studio for a tour and interview.

Aricka Westbrooks (Entrepreneur) – Came to the school to conduct a career day event and gave us an interview.

Bryan Michael Cox (Music Producer) – Allowed students to come to a studio and gave us an interview.

Camille McDonald (CW America’s Next Top Model TV Show) – Came to the school several times to conduct career day events and gave us an interview.

Dan Rather (CBS Anchorman) – Allowed students to come to his studio for a tour and gave us an interview.

Day 26 (MTV Making The Band TV Show) – Gave ten students VIP backstage passes to attend a concert and gave us an interview.

Daymond John (ABC Shark Tank TV Show) - Allowed students to visit his FUBU office for a tour and gave us an interview.

Devon Franklin (SVP, Production at Columbia Pictures) - Allowed students to visit his Sony office for a tour and gave us an interview.

Eddie Curry (NBA Player) – Gave fifteen students free Knicks tickets to see him play along with feeding them.

Fantasia (R&B Singer) – Gave three students free tickets to see her perform at her New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

Fred Cuellar (Entrepreneur) – Came to the school to conduct a career day event along with giving one hundred students signed copies of his book. He also gave special gifts to several different students who volunteered.

Jay Qualls (TLC Next Great Baker TV Show) – Came to the school to conduct a career day event and gave us an interview.

John Starks (NBA Player) – Allowed students to visit the Knicks office at Madison Square Garden for a tour and gave us an interview.

JoJo Simmons (MTV Run’s House TV Show) – Allowed students to come to his concert in Harlem and gave us an interview.

Katie Couric (ABC The Katie Couric Show) – Allowed students to attend The Katie Couric Show for a TV show taping, a tour and gave us an interview.

Melanie Notkin (Entrepreneur)  Came to the school to conduct a career day event along with giving twenty-five students signed copies of her book and gave us an interview.

Murtz Jaffer (Reality TV Show Expert) – Allowed students to be a part of his Reality TV Show Reality Obsessed taping and gave us an interview.

 

Quinton Carter (NFL Player) – Came to the school to conduct a career day event, signed a football, signed hats and t-shirts for students and gave us an interview.

Rabbi Moshe Weiss (ABC Shark Tank TV Show) – Came to the school to conduct a career day event and gave fifty students his invention Sound Bender and gave us an interview.

Chef Rocco DiSpirito (Entrepreneur/Author) - Came to the school to conduct a career day event along with teaching them how to make his famous chicken soup and cupcakes. He also brought his food truck Now Eat This! and fed one hundred students.

Ryan Leslie (Music Producer) – Came to the school to conduct a career day event and gave us an interview.

Sherri Shepherd (ABC The View) - Allowed students to attend The View TV Show taping, gave us a tour and gave us an interview.

Sidra Smith (Movie Producer) – Gave ten students movie passes to watch her movie Free Angela.

Soledad O’Brien (CNN Anchorwoman) – Allowed students to view Starting Point her TV show taping, a tour and gave us an interview.

Stephen Fanuka (DIY Million Dollar Contractor TV Show) - Allowed students to come to his construction office for a tour and gave us an interview.

Tara Dowdell (NBC The Apprentice TV Show) - Came to the school to conduct a career day event, film a reality TV show and gave us an interview.

Tina Wells (Entrepreneur/Author) - Came to the school to conduct a career day event, book signing and gave posters for thirty-five students and an interview.

Tichina Arnold (Actress/Singer) – Students attended the off-Broadway play The Wiz and students participated in a private forum with several cast members.

Toure Neblett (MSNBC/The Cycle TV Show) - Allowed students to visit MSNBC TV Studio for a tour and gave us an interview.

Tyler Perry (Actor/Director/Producer) – Gave four students VIP tickets to see his play Madea On The Run.

Victoria Rowell (Actress/Author) – Allowed students to attend her book signing event and gave us an interview.

Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier (NBA Player/TV Commentator) - Allowed twenty students to attend his private children holiday party at his restaurant.

Wendy Williams (FOX The Wendy Williams Show) - Allowed students to come to WBLS radio station for a tour and gave us an interview. Years later, she also came to the school to participate in an art class event.
